Ride with the Recumbent

Today I rode the Coyote Creek Trail with my reunion groups. I met them in South San Jose and went back with them. I was a little late getting out the door, so I headed up the first Monterey highway. This is more direct than a show, and I had a tailwind, so I flew there at 21 mph. On the trail, we headed back enjoying the beautiful scenery and the weather even more. We had lunch at Morgan Hill near the southern end of the trail. They went back to the original South San Jose, where they stopped, but I just went home from the lunch spot. I call it the circus because all the trikes have colorful flags to make them more visible and as we ride it looks like the circus has come to town. It’s a good group, all big guys like me, and with various ailments (one was adjusting to a recent knee replacement) but that didn’t stop any of them as all the trikes and electrics helped.

I bet we were the weirdest thing a dog had seen all day.

Santa on the boat where we went to lunch. This is actually the float seen in the parade in Morgan Hill.
